General Situation

Another rather strong high pressure covers the Northeast, expected to extend to the upper Central and the East by today (23 January 2024). Morning cool to cold with windy and 3-5 C decrease in the Northeast while morning cool with windy and 1-4 C decrease in the Central and the East. The easterly wind and the southeasterly wind prevail over the upper Gulf, the lower Central and the East with isolated thundershower. People in the country should keep healthy due to variable weather. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain in the lower South. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meter high in thundershowers. All ships in the lower Gulf should proceed with caustion and keep off thundershowers.

Northeastern
Morning cool to cold with windy and 3-5 C decrease in temperature. Isolated light rains. Minimum temperature 14-19 C. Maximum temperature 27-31 C. Cold to very cold on the mountain top. Minimum temperature 6-12 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Central
Morning cool with windy and 1-3 C decrease in temperature. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Lopburi, Saraburi and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Minimum temperature 19-22 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Easterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Morning cool with windy and 2-4 C decrease in temperature. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Minimum temperature 21-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and about 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 28-34 C. From Surat Thani upward : easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. From Nakhon Si Thammarat downward : easterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy and isolated thundershowers. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C. Southeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
