During 23 - 27 Jan, the rather strong high-pressure system from China extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Isolated thundershowers are likely in the upper country for the first period then, a decrease in temperature with strong wind. A decrease in temperature by 4 ? 6 C is likely in the Northeast and 2 ? 4 C decrease in temperature is likely in the East while 1 ? 3 C decrease in temperature is likely in the North and the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity. During 28 - 29 Jan, the rather strong high-pressure system covering upper Thailand will weaken with an increase in temperature by 1 ? 3 C while morning cool to cold and fog remain in the upper country. In addition, during 25 ? 29 Jan, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move through the North, the upper Central and the upper Northeast regions with isolated thundershowers in the upper country. During 24 - 27 Jan, the rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rains in the South. The wind and waves in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will strengthen. The waves in the lower Gulf are likely 2 ? 3 meters high, above 3 meters high in thundershowers while about 2 meters high in the upper Gulf, 1 - 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
