General Situation

The rather strong high-pressure system covers Thailand and the South China Sea with cool to cold and strong wind. A decrease in temperature by 1-2 C is likely in the North, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the upper South. Meanwhile, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move through the North and the upper Central regions with isolated rains in the upper country. People should keep healthy and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is strengthening with isolated heavy rains in the lower South. People in the lower South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas. People along the Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2?3 meters high and above 3 meter high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea, the wave has about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore lasting 27 Jan 2024.

Cool to cold and 1-2 C drop in temperature. Isolated rains mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak and Kamphaeng Phet. Minimum temperature 13-19 C. Maximum temperature 27-32 C. Cold to very cold on the mountain top. Minimum temperature 5-12 C. Easterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Northeastern
Cool to cold with strong wind. Isolated light rains. Minimum temperature 12-18 C. Maximum temperature 25-31 C. Cold to very cold on the mountain top. Minimum temperature 7-15 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Central
Cool with strong wind and 1-2 C drop in temperature. Isolated light rains. Minimum temperature 18-21 C. Maximum temperature 27-30 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern
Cool with strong wind and 1-2 C drop in temperature. Isolated light rains. Minimum temperature 19-23 C. Maximum temperature 29-32 C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Cool with strong wind in the upper part. 1-2 C drop in temperature. Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 19-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-32 C. From Surat Thani upward: Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. From Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2-3 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Cool with strong wind and 1-2 C drop in temperature. Isolated light rains. Minimum temperature 20-23 C. Maximum temperature 28-30 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
