General Situation

The rather strong high-pressure system covers Thailand and the South China Sea with morning cool to cold and strong wind in the upper Thaland. Meanwhile, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move through the North and the upper Central regions with isolated rains in the upper country. People should keep healthy and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South is strengthening with isolated heavy rains in the lower South. People in the lower South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas. People along the Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2?3 meters high and above 3 meter high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the wave has about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. The Andaman Sea, the wave 1-2 meters, above 2 meters high offshore, and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore lasting 27 Jan 2024.

Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters, above 2 meters high offshore, and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
