Weather Outlook During 31 January - 6 February 2024
During 31 Jan - 3 Feb, the moderate high-pressure system which covers upper Thailand will weaken while the westerly winds prevail over the North. Decreasing in temperature 2 - 5 C is in the North while 2 - 4 C rise in temperature is in the Northeast and 1 - 3 C rise in temperature is likely in Bangkok metopolis and the East. The easterly and southeasterly winds bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to the upper country with isolated rains in some areas. The moderate northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will weaken with isolated thundershowers. The weakening wind and waves in the lower Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea, the wave has about 1 meter high, above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore. During 4 - 6 Feb, the weak high-pressure system covers upper Thailand while the upper westerly winds prevail over the North and the Central leading the North still be cool to cold while 1 - 2 C drop in the Central and Bangkok metopolis. The easterly and southeasterly winds still bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand prevail to the upper country with isolated rains in someplaces. The weak northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with less rains. The weak wind and waves in the lower Gulf is about 1 meter high and above 1 meters high in thundershowers. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are below 1 meter high, above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Caution
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to variable weathers and all transport takes more caution in poor visibility.
