During 9 - 13 Feb, the rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend to over the upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Meanwhile, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevail over the lower Northeast, the lower Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the upper South regions. Isolated thundershowers, strong wind and hail are likely in this areas during 9 - 10 Feb and following by 3 - 5 C drop in temperature with strong wind in the Northeast while 1 - 3C drop in temperature in the rest regions. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is strengthening with more rains and isolated heavy rains in the upper South. The moderate wind forces the wave in the lower Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers, the wave in the upper Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 14 - 15 Feb, the high pressure over the upper country will weaken with an increasing in temperature but morning cool and fog remain in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East. The northeast monsoon prevailing the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will weaken with less rain. The wind and wave will also weaken with about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to variable weathers throughout the period. During 9 - 10 Feb, people in the upper country and the upper South should beware of the severe condition, gusty winds and strikes by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. During 10 - 13 Feb, all ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore. People along the Gulf should beware of inshore surges.
