General Situation

The high pressure from China covers upper Vietnam is expected to extend to the eastern Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea by today ( 9 April 2024 ) where hot to very hot weather occur. Meanwhile the southerly and Southeasterly winds brings humid to the upper country. Outbreak of summer storm are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail including lightning strike are expected in the Northeast at first, then will effect on the rest regions. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent crop damage. The southeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the South while the northwesterly wind prevails over the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers.

Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun and Tak. Minimum temperature 24-29 C. Maximum temperature 39-43 C. Southwesterly winds 5-15 km/hr.
Northeastern
Day hot to very hot with haze. Scattered thunderstorms with gusty wind and hails mostly in Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 24-29 C. Maximum temperature 38-41 C. Southerly winds 5-15 km/hr.
Central
Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty wind mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Lopburi, Saraburi, Singburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram. Minimum temperature 27-28 C. Maximum temperature 38-42 C. Southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Day hot with haze. Isolated very hot. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty wind mostly in Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 27-29 C. Maximum temperature 35-39 C. Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-28 C. Maximum temperature 34-38 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong and Phang Nga. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 35-38 C. Northwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Day hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind. Minimum temperature 28-29 C. Maximum temperature 37-39 C. Southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.
