General Situation

The heat low-pressure cell covers upper Thailand with hot to very hot and haze during the day. People in the country should keep healthy due to hot to very hot weather. Meanwhile, the southwesterly and southerly winds prevail over the upper country with isolated thundershower with gusty wind and hails. People in the areas should beware of severe conditions. The northwesterly and westerly winds prevail over the Andaman Sea and the upper South while the southeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the lower South with isolated thundershower. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, during 3 ? 5 May, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move pass the upper North and the upper Northeast of Thailand while during 6 ? 7 May, the confluence of southeasterly and southerly winds prevail over the Northeast, the East, the Central and the lower North regions while hot to very hot weather occurs in the upper country. Summer storms are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and lightning strike in many places of the upper country while hails are possible in some places.

Northern
Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit and Tak. Minimum temperature 23-30 C. Maximum temperature 38-44 C. Southwesterly winds 5-15 km/hr.
Northeastern
Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind and hails mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Nakhon Ratchasima, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 24-30 C. Maximum temperature 39-43 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Day very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in the western part. Minimum temperature 26-29 C. Maximum temperature 40-43 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Day hot with haze and isolated very hot. Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in the lower part. Minimum temperature 27-30 C. Maximum temperature 35-42 C. Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Day hot and isolated very hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 35-40 C. Surat Thani upward: Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si thammarat downward: Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 26-29 C. Maximum temperature 35-38 C. Northwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Day hot to very hot with haze. Minimum temperature 29-30 C. Maximum temperature 37-41 C. Southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.
