General Situation

The southwesterly winds prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the gulf is strengthening while hot weather remain in the country. More rain with gusty wind are likely in the upper country while isolated heavy rain are possible in the North, the lower Central, the East and the South regions. People in the country should beware of severe conditions. The wind and waves over the Andaman Sea is strengthening with 1?2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition during 22?26 May 2024, the low-pressure cell over Bay of Bengal will intensify and expected to move the upper Bay of Bengal. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the western part of the North and the Central and the South (west coast). People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in thundershowers. The strengthening wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and above 3 meters in thundershowers, the waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf about 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high, 1-2 meters offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. The boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore. Please stay tuned for the weather update.

Northeastern
Day hot. Scattered thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-37 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Day hot. Scattered thundershowers with gusty wind and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Suphanburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram. Minimum temperature 25-28 C. Maximum temperature 35-38 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers with gusty wind and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 27-28 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and offshore, above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 26-28 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers with gusty wind and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
