General Situation

The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over western of the North of Thailand while the southerly and southeasterly winds prevail over the lower Northeast, the East, the lower Central, the South and the Gulf with thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in the North. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. The moderated wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high, 1?2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers areas. At 01.00 a.m. LST (27 May), the tropical cyclone ?Remal? over southern Bangladesh, is expected to downgrade to the tropical depression and an active low-pressure cell, respectively. The tropical storm ?Ewiniar? over Philippine Sea is expected to move to the Pacific Ocean during 27?31 May. Thease storms is no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.

Northern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phayao, Nan and Tak. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-37 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Northeastern
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 34-37 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 35-37 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 34-37 C. Southerly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-38 C. Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 35-37 C Ranong upward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Phangnga downward: Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers mostly in the afternoon to evening. Minimum temperature 25-28 C. Maximum temperature 34-37 C. Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr.
