During 15 - 20 June, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast of Thailand into the low pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Tonkin bay while the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain while very heavy rain in some places of the East. The wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high while in the gulf and the lower Andaman Sea are 1 ? 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 15 ? 20 June, people should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and runoff, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands of the North and the East. All transport takes more caution when traveling through the thundershowers areas. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
