The southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Thundershowers and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers while about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, during 14?17 July 2024, the strong monsoon trough will lie across the North and the Northeast of Thailand into an active low-pressure cell over the middle South China Sea with more rain and heavy rains in the country, very heavy rains in some areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South (west coast). The strengthening wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2?3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershower while the wind and waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high in and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.

Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Surat Thani upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C Phuket upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Krabi downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
