General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the tropical storm ?PRAPIROON? cover the Gulf of Tonkin. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the North and the Northeast while isolated very heavy rains in the East. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, the tropical storm ?PRAPIROON? over the Gulf of Tonkin, China. It is forecast to make landfall over at Hai Phong province, The upper Vietnam on 23 July 2024. This storm with no direct effect on Thailand?s weather. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling.

Central
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains. in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-28 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Surat Thani upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meters and above 1 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C Ranong upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
