During 26 ? 29 Jul, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the active low-pressure cell cover the upper Viet Nam and the Gulf of Tonkin. More rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the upper Northeast, the East and the western of the North and the Central region. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely about 2 meters high while 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, the tropical storm ?PRAPIROON? over the upper Vietnam. It is forecast downscale into depression and low pressure cell weakening in sequence. The tropical storm ?Gaemi? over the Pacific Ocean is expected to move to the eastern part of China during 24 ? 26 Jul. These storms have no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.

People in the country should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers througthout the period.
