General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low pressure cell cover the upper Vietnam and the Gulf of tonkin. Isolated heavy rains are likely in whole country while isolated very heavy rains in the East. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. The wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf will strengthening are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, The tropical storm ?Gaemi? over the Pacific Ocean is expected to move to the eastern part of China during 25 ? 26 Jul. These storms have no direct effect on Thailand?s weather. Please check the weather conditions before traveling to the area.

Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Surat Thani upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meters and above 1 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C Phuket upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Krabi downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
