General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Isolated very heavy rains are likely in the East and the western part of the North while isolated heavy rains are possible in the upper Northeast and the western part of the Central. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. The wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are likely 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, the severe tropical storm ?Gaemi? over Fujian, China is expected to downgrade to the tropical storm, the tropical depression and an active low-pressure cell, respectively. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand?s weather. Please check the weather conditions before traveling to the area.

Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 28-33 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 30-37 C. Surat Thani upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meters and above 1 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C Phuket upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Krabi downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread rains/thundershowers. Minimum temperature 26-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
