the monsoon trough will lie across the upper North and Laos into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam while the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf throughout the period. Isolated heavy rains are present in the North throughout the period. During 21 ? 24 Aug, convergence of the southeasterly and the southwesterly winds in the upper level will prevail over the Northeast region. During 23 ? 25 Aug, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will be strengthen. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country.
Caution
People in Thailand especially in the North and the Northeast should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
