The convergence of the southeasterly and the southwesterly winds in the upper level prevails over the upper Northeast region while the southwest monsoon still prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and Isolated very heavy rains are likely in the upper North and in the upper Northeast. During 26 ? 28 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across will move down to the North and the Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. More rain and isolated heavy rains are possible in the country and very heavy rain in the South, the East and Bangkok Metropolitan Region and vicinity. Caution
People in Thailand especially in the North and the Northeast should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
