During 30 - 31 Aug, the monsoon trough will move up to lie above the North and upper Laos while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Andaman Sea, the lower Central, the upper South and the East. Less rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the East and the South (west coast). During 1 ? 4 Sep, the moderate monsoon trough will move down to lie across the North, the Northeast and the Central into an active low-pressure cell over the middle South China Sea. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South, the East and the Gulf. Increasing rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the lower Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the upper South. During 30 Aug ? 4 Sep, the moderate wind and wave in the upper Andaman Sea, Ranong upward are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Phangnga downward and the upper Gulf, the waves have 1 ? 2 meters high and about 1 meter high in the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
