General Situation

The rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is weakening while the low-presure cell covers upper Vietnam. Less rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the lower North, the upper Northeast, the upper Central and the East regions. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The weakening wind and wave in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf and the lower Andaman Sea, the waves have 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, the tropical storm ?SHANSHAN? covers southern Japan. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region 're going to be visiting. This typhoon no effect on Thailand?s weather.

Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-28 C. Maximum temperature 28-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Surat Thani upward: southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C Ranong upward : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Phabgbga downward : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
