General Situation

The moderated monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central and the lower Northeast of Thailand while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the South (west coast) while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the East region. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong wind force the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the waves have 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 8 Sep. The severve tropical storm ?YAGI? over the upper South China Sea is expected to intensify to the typhoon. It is forecast to move through Hainan, China and it will make landfall over upper Vietnam during 6-7 Sep. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the North and the upper Northeast during 7 ? 8 Sep.

Central
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 28-33 C. Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C. Surat Thani upward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
