General Situation

The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South (west coast). People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong wind force the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the waves have 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 8 Sep. In addition, the typhoon ?YAGI? covers the upper South China Sea. It is forecast to move through Hainan, China and it will make landfall over upper Vietnam during 6-7 Sep and will be down to tropical strom and tropical depression respectively. Isolated heavy rains and gusty wind are likely in the North and the upper Northeast during 7-8 Sep.

Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km./hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi and Kanchanaburi. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 34-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Surat Thani upward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
