During 11 ? 13 Sep, the monsoon trough lies across the upper North and the upper Northeast into the low pressure cell over middle Vietnam. Meanwhile the moderated southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the upper Gulf. Thundershower and isolated heavy rains are likely in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South westcoast. During 14 ? 17 Sep, the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the North, the upper Central and the Northeast in to the low pressure cell over middle Vietnam while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the upper Andaman Sea, Thailand and the upper Gulf will strengthen. More rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the country. The wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen with 2 - 3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while about 2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 13 ? 17 Sep, people in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period. Small boats in the Andaman Sea should keep ashore during 14 ? 17 Sep.
