The monsoon trough lies across the upper North and the upper Northeast into the low pressure cell over upper Vietnam and Tonkin Bay. While the moderated southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the North, the Northeast and the East. People in the areas should beware of heavy to rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In additional, during 14-17 September 2024, the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the North, the upper Central and the Northeast while the moderated southwest monsoon prevailing over the upper Andaman Sea, Thailand and the upper Gulf will strengthen. More rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the country. The wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen with 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf with above 3 meters high in thundershowers while above 2 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 29-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-15 km./hr.
Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Maha Sarakham, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km./hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 34-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km./hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
