During 14 ? 17 Sep, the monsoon trough over the North and the upper Northeast will move down to the lower North, the upper Central and the Northeast into the low-pressure cell over the middle coastal of Vietnam while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast). During 18 ? 19 Sep, the monsoon trough will move down to the Central, the lower Northeast and the East into the low-pressure cell over lower Vietnam while the rather strong southwest monsoon still prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast). During 14 ? 19 Sep, the rather strong wind forces the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
