General Situation

The monsoon trough lies across the North and the Northeast of Thailand, extending into the low-pressure cell over the central coast of Vietnam, while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely across the country with isolated very heavy rains possible in the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast) regions. People in these areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation which may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong winds are causing waves in the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf to reach heights of 2-3 meters, and over 3 meters in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, waves are around 2 meters high, with higher waves in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and avoid thundershower areas, while small boats in the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf should remain ashore.

Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Variable winds 10-20 km./hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Saraburi, Samut Sakhon Nakhon Pathom and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla and Yala. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-32 C Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
