General Situation

The moderate high-pressure system from china extends the western portion of the North and the upper Northeast. It is expected to extend to the North, the Northeast and the South China Sea by today (2 Oct 2024) while the monsoon trough moves down to lie across the lower North, the upper Central and the Northeast. Variable weather, thundershowers, gusty winds and isolated heavy rains are likely in the upper country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North and the Northeast. People in upper Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands and keep healthy due to the variable weather. The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. The winds and waves in the Andaman are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers

Northern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy heavy rains with gust in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 22-24 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Southeasterly winds 5-15 km./hr.
Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains with gust in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 22-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Variable winds 10-15 km./hr.
Central
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains with gust in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Lopburi, Singburi, Saraburi, Suphanburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Variable winds 10-15 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gust in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 25-28 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km./hr. Wave about 1 meter and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km./hr. Wave about 1 meter and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. Phuket upward: southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meter high in thundershowers. Krabi downward: southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gust. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-15 km./hr.
