During 16 ? 18 Oct, the monsoon trough will move up to lie across the upper South, the upper Gulf and the East while the low-pressure cell over Cambodia will move through the East, the upper South and the upper Andaman Sea. The easterly wind prevails over the lower Northeast and the Central. During 19 ? 21 Oct, another high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper North, the upper Northeast and the South China Sea, leading to the easterly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to upper Thailand. More rains with gusty wind and heavy rain are likely in the upper country and continuous rainfalls are likely in the South. Isolated very heavy rain are forecast to the East and the South (east coast). The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are likely about 1 meter high while the waves in the Gulf are likely below 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers throughout the period.
Caution
During 16 ? 21 Oct, people in the country should beware of thundershowers, gusty wind including heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.
