General Situation

The strong high-pressure system from China which covers the upper Thailand and the South China Sea is weakening with morning light fog in the upper country. Cold to very Cold still be in the North and the Northeast while cool to cold still be in the rest regions. Very cold on the mountaintop. People in the upper country should be careful of their health due to cold weather and beware of fire due to dry air, all transport take more caution in poor visibility. The strong northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf, the South, and the Andaman Sea is weakening with less rain in the lower South. The winds and waves in the Gulf up to of 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershower areas. In the Andaman Sea, the waves have 1-2 meters high, 2-3 meters high offshore and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in these regions should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area. People along the costal in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should beware of inshore surges and small boats in the and Gulf keep ashore lasting 14 Jan.

Eastern
Cool with morning light fog and slight change in temperature. Minimum temperature 14-21 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Upper part : Morning cool with morning light fog and slight change in temperature. Lower part : Isolated thundershower mostly in Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 16-23 C. Maximum temperature 27-31 C. Surat Thani upward : Northeasterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Northeasterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershower mostly in Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 20-24 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Northeasterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meter, about 2-3 meters high offshore and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Cool with morning light fog and slight change in temperature. Minimum temperature 16-18 C. Maximum temperature 29-32 C. Northeasterly winds 10-20 km./hr.
