General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time A ridge of high pressure area over northeastern Thailand causes a trough of low pressure across lower central and upper southern Thailand. The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain with isolated heavy falls is expected in the lower South and the East. People in risky areas along foothills and in lowlands should beware of heavy rain in this period.
Travelers are advised to check the weather forecast before their departure for the northern Philippines and Taiwan due to tropical storm “Parma” near the areas. The storm trends to move slowly and has no effect on Thailand’s weather.
