The intense high pressure system covers northeastern Thailand. This causes cool, 2-4 oC drop and windy. Thereafter it will affect the other regions of the country. The wind and wave in the Gulf of Thailand are intensifying with wave height 2-4 meters. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during 3-4 days.
At 01.00 a.m. today, tropical storm “Mirinae” over the middle South China Sea, centered 350 km east of Nhatrang, Vietnam or Latitude 14.0 oN, Longitude 112.5 oE, is moving west at a speed of 12 knot or 20 km/hr. It is expected to make landfall at NhaTrang, Vietnam by today with no effect on Thailand.
The advisory is in effect for Thailand from 2 November 2009.
