General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The strong northeast monsoon still prevails over Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rains and isolated heavy rains are occurring in the South from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward. People in the risky areas along foothills near waterways and in lowlands should beware of flooding condition during this period. The severe weather alerts for provinces of Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Trang, Satun, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Strong wind-wave in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are likely. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore today (6 Nov, 2009).
