Weather Forecast During 20-22 Nov, the intense high pressure system from China remains over upper Thailand. An intense northeast monsoon across southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand as well as cooler weather, 2-4oC drops. A torrential rainfall and heavy down pour are expected in the South from Chumphon southward and the strong wind-wave in the Gulf. Thereafter during 23-26 Nov, the high pressure system over upper Thailand becomes weakening leading to an increase in temperature.
During 21-23 Nov, a westerly trough from China moves over the upper Northern causing widely scattered rain and decreasing temperature.
Warning During this period, people living along the South eastern coast should beware of heavy rain, flooding and monsoon surge. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore (19-23 Nov.).
Northern Part During 20-22 Nov, Cold in the upper portion, minimum temperature 14-16 oC and isolated to widely scattered rain. Cool elsewhere, minimum temperature 16-22oC. Very cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 6-11oC. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. During 23-26 Nov, 1-3oC drops and cool weather, minimum temperature 16-22oC, and morning fog.
Northeastern Part During 20-22 Nov, Cool to cold with 1-3oC drop. Minimum temperature 13-18oC.
Very cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 7-14oC. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. During 23-26 Nov, 2-4 oC drops and cool weather, minimum temperature 17-23oC
Central Part Cool, minimum temperature 18-21oC. During 23-26 Nov, 1-3 oC increasing.
Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern Part Cool, minimum temperature 18-21oC. During 23-26 Nov, 2-3 oC rises.
Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters.
Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the lower potion throughout this period. Northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters. During 24-26 Nov, northeasterly winds 20-35 km./hr. wave height about 2 meters.
Southern Part (West Coast) Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and Isolated heavy fall throughout this period. Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters.
Metropolitan Cool weather, minimum temperature 19-22oC. During 22-26 Nov, 2-3 oC rises.
