At 10.00 am today, the tropical depression in the South China Sea was centered about 600 kilometers southeast of the tip of Indochina or Lat 8.1 oN, Long 110.5 oE with sustained winds of 50 km/hr. It is moving west-northwest at a speed of 15 km/hr and will make landfall over the tip of Indochina tomorrow (20 January 2010). Scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy falls in the lower Northeast, the East and the South while wind-wave in the Gulf becomes strong with wave height 2-3 meters. All ships should proceed with caution during 19-23 January, 2010. During 20-22 January, 2010 the westerly trough will move across northern Thailand causing thundershowers with gust in northern, central and upper northeastern Thailand at the first period and then 2-4 C drops.
