General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time At 4.00 a.m. today, tropical storm Mindulle was centered about 150 km east of Donghoi, Vietnam or latitude 17.8 oN longitude 107.9 oE with maximum sustained wind of 95 km/hr. The storm is expected to move west-northwest about 18 km/hr and make landfall over upper Vietnam tonight (24 August 2010). It also induces the active monsoon trough across northern and northeastern Thailand to affect torrential rain with heavy falls in many places over upper Thailand. People along hill slope and waterways of the North, Northeast and East are warned of possible flash flood during this period.
The wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand strengthens. All ships proceed with caution.
