เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ ๖๐ ปีของการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-กัมพูชา ในวันที่ ๑๙ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๓ นายอภิสิทธ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ส่งสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าวไปยังสมเด็จอัคคมหาเสนาบดีเดโชฮุน เซน นายกรัฐมนตรี ประเทศกัมพูชา นอกจากนี้ นายกษิต ภิรมย์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสเดียวกันไปยังนายฮอร์ นัมฮอง รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ประเทศกัมพูชา ดังนี้

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people, it gives me great pleasure to extend my sincerest congratulations to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries on 19 December 2010.
Thailand and Cambodia are bound by deeply rooted cultural and historical ties since time immemorial. Over the past six decades of diplomatic relations, Thai-Cambodian bilateral relations have evolved and grown from strength to strength at all levels and in all aspects. We have enjoyed close neighbourly relations, sharing not just common borders and cultural similarities, but also aspirations to live together in peace and harmony with mutual respect for one another. I am certain that these values will continue to guide our relations and help our two countries overcome various challenges together in the years to come.
I am pleased to note that recently our cordial and mutually beneficial relations at all levels have continued to grow at a satisfactory and rapid pace, particularly since we held a series of bilateral meetings in New York, Brussels, Hanoi and Phnom Penh from September to November 2010. In particular, I am delighted that our cooperation, focusing on the promotion of people-to-people contact, culture and journalistic exchanges, border management and security as well as travel facilitation, has contributed in many ways to peace and stability in both our countries and the region as a whole.
Beyond our bilateral relations, the future of Thailand and Cambodia is closely linked to peace and prosperity in ASEAN under the ASEAN Charter. Given the current globalised and interdependent world in which we live, we should put all our best efforts to collaborate as closer strategic partners and further promote our joint development long into the future. I am therefore determined and look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to elevate our relationship to an even higher plane and to enhance ASEAN community-building, as well as all cooperation projects under the sub-regional frameworks of the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS), the Greater Mekong Sub-region, and the Emerald Triangle.
All our joint initiatives are a testament to our friendly bilateral relations and will serve as a good model for our future generations to strengthen and sustain our close cooperation in the future. On this auspicious occasion, I wish to commend all those who have dedicated themselves to promoting our bilateral relations. I also wish to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia for continued prosperity and greater success.

I wish to take this opportunity to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the Government and people of Cambodia on the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia on 19 December 2010.
The relationship between our two countries has always remained cordial and vibrant and, over the past 60 years, has expanded at all levels, whether bilaterally or in regional and international forums. Thailand and Cambodia are close neighbours who share a common traditional culture and religion, as well as a common aspiration to jointly pursue endeavours to achieve better livelihoods for our peoples. Such shared interests have undoubtedly helped our relationship evolve into a closer partnership.
It gives me great pleasure to see that our two countries have enhanced our engagement as a result of a series of cordial discussions between our Prime Ministers during September to November 2010. Today, Thailand and Cambodia continue to collaborate on a broad range of areas that will mutually benefit our peoples and the region as a whole, ranging from culture, economics, media and tourism, to defence and border management. I am confident that by working closely together we will be able to overcome bilateral and regional challenges in the future.
I wish to reaffirm my determination to work closely with Your Excellency for the advancement of our bilateral relations as well as for the further enhancement of our collaboration within the frameworks of ASEAN, ACMECS, GMS and the Emerald Triangle. I look forward to our meeting in Phnom Penh and to welcoming Your Excellency to a reception at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh on 19 December 2010 to celebrate this important occasion together.
