ตามที่ได้มีการเลือกตั้งทั่วไปในโปรตุเกสและคณะรัฐมนตรีชุดใหม่ของนาย Pedro Passos Coelho นายกรัฐมนตรีโปรตุเกส ได้เข้ารับหน้าที่เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ มิถุนายน ๒๕๕๔ นั้น
ในการนี้ นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีไปยังนาย Pedro Passos Coelho นายกรัฐมนตรีโปรตุเกส และนายกษิต ภิรมย์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีไปยังนาย Paulo Portas รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโปรตุเกส ตามลำดับ ดังนี้
