ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมและดินถล่มในกรุงโซลและเมืองต่างๆ ในภาคกลางของเกาหลีใต้จนทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บ ตลอดจนบ้านเรือนของประชาชนได้รับความเสียหาย
ในการนี้ นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายกษิต ภิรมย์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้ส่งข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจไปยังประธานาธิบดีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้าเกาหลีใต้ ดังนี้
