ด้วยนาย Macky Sall ได้รับการเลือกให้ดำรงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐเซเนกัลสืบแทนนาย Abdoulaya Wade และนาย Alioune Badara Cisse ได้รับเลือกให้ดำรงตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐเซเนกัลสืบแทนนาย Madicke Niang ภายหลังการเลือกตั้งเมื่อวันที่ ๒๕ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๕
ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐเซเนกัลและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเซเนกัล ตามลำดับ ดังนี้
