ตามที่สาธารณรัฐสโลวักได้จัดการเลือกตั้งทั่วไปเมื่อเดือนมีนาคม ๒๕๕๕ ส่งผลให้มีการจัดตั้งรัฐบาลชุดใหม่ นั้น
ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนาย Robert Fico นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐสโลวัก และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนาย Miroslav Lajcak รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐสโลวัก ในโอกาสที่บุคคลทั้งสองได้เข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ ดังนี้
