ตามที่นาย Mohamed Kamel Amr ได้รับแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอาหรับอียิปต์อีกครั้งหนึ่ง นายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความแสดงความยินดีถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐอาหรับอียิปต์ ดังนี้

It is my honour to convey to Your Excellency my sincere congratulations on your reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. I extend to you my very best wishes and continued success in taking this important office.

I wish to reassure Your Excellency of my readiness to work closely with you to enhance the close ties between our two countries. I also look forward to my first official visit to Egypt between 19 — 21 October 2012 and to discussing with you on issues of common interest and how we can propel our relationship forward.
