ด้วยวันที่ ๑๑ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๕ เป็นวันครบรอบ ๕๔ ปี แห่งการสถาปนารัฐซึ่งเป็นวันชาติของประเทศบูร์กินาฟาโซ ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ถึงประธานาธิบดีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบูร์กินาฟาโซ ตามลำดับ ดังนี้
