ตามที่ญี่ปุ่นได้มีการจัดตั้งคณะรัฐมนตรีชุดใหม่หลังการประชุมรัฐสภาสมัยพิเศษเมื่อวันที่ ๒๖ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๕ ในการนี้ นายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายฟูมิโอะ คิชิดะ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ ดังนี้
