เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติปาเลสไตน์ วันที่ ๑ มกราคม ๒๕๕๖ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดีปาเลสไตน์ และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศปาเลสไตน์ ดังนี้

On the occasion of the National Day of the State of Palestine, I have the honour to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and, through you, to the people of Palestine.
This year is a landmark year for Thailand-Palestine relations, with the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two states. In addition, I wish to congratulate Your Excellency, and the State of Palestine for receiving overwhelming international support in obtaining the Observer State status in the United Nations, which Thailand supported. Please be assured that the Royal Thai Government will continue to endeavour to strengthen the friendly relations between our two countries and peoples.
