ข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา

เมื่อวันที่ ๒๐ มกราคม ๒๕๕๖ นายบารัค โอบามา ประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา ได้เข้ารับตำแหน่งอย่างเป็นทางการ ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ข้อความดังนี้

“Dear Mr. President,

I wish to extend to you my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your official inauguration into your second term of office on 20 January 2013.

As you resume your leadership of the United States over the next 4 years, Thailand is looking forward to a continuation of the United States’ constructive engagement in Southeast Asia and in the region at large. Furthermore, I hope that we can strengthen and expand our close cooperation, which has been forged over the past 180 years.

In particular, I hope to move forward on the issues we discussed during your recent official visit to Thailand in November 2012, such as food and energy security, trade and investment promotion, military cooperation, and anti-human trafficking efforts. I also look forward to having the opportunity to meet you again to discuss our cooperative partnership and the enhancement of peace and prosperity in Asia.
