สารแสดงความเสียใจต่อแคนาดาในเหตุการณ์ก่อการร้ายที่เคนยา

ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์ก่อการร้ายที่กรุงไนโรบี ประเทศเคนยา เมื่อวันที่ ๒๑ กันยายน ๒๕๕๖ ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตถึง ๗๒ ราย ซึ่งรวมชาวแคนาดา ๒ รายด้วย นั้น นายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแคนาดา เนื่องจากเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว ดังนี้

It is with profound sadness that I learned of the tragic deaths of two Canadian citizens who were among the victims of the shopping mall shooting in Nairobi, Kenya. This horrific incident reminds us of the need for further concerted international efforts to prevent acts of terrorism from happening again.

I wish to take this opportunity to convey my sympathy and sincere condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones. I would also like to extend my condolences to the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, for having lost such a young and dedicated diplomat whose promising future was cut short by this terrible tragedy.
