ในโอกาสวันครบรอบการได้รับเอกราชของสาธารณรัฐซิมบับเว ซึ่งถือเป็นวันชาติของเซเนกัลในวันที่ 18 เม.ย. นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดีซิมบับเว และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศซิมบับเว ดังนี้

On behalf of the Government and the people Thailand, I would like to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to the Government and the people of Zimbabwe, our warmest felicitations and best wishes on the occasion f the 34th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
Our two countries have always enjoyed amicable ties and friendship. I, therefore, look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further consolidate our cordial relations for the benefit of our two countries and peoples in the years ahead.

On the occasion of the 34th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Zimbabwe, I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations and best wishes for the happiness and continued prosperity of the Republic of Zimbabwe and her people.
