เนื่องในวันที่ ๒๔ ก.ย. ๒๕๕๗ เป็นวันครบรอบ ๔๑ ปี แห่งการประกาศเอกราช (จากสาธารณรัฐโปรตุเกส) ซึ่งถือเป็นวันชาติของสาธารณรัฐกินีบิสเซา นายประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี และพลเอกธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ดังนี้

On the occasion of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau’s National Day and 41st Celebration of Independence, I have the honour to congratulate and convey to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, my best wishes for continued peace, prosperity and happiness of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and her people.
Our three decades of relations have been marked by goodwill and understanding. In accordance with the Royal Thai Government’s policy to elevate our friendship with Africa, particularly in the areas of economic and development cooperation, I strongly believe that our ties will be further developed in the coming years for the mutual benefits of our two nations.
