ด้วยนายเปฮิน ดาโต๊ะ ลิม จ๊อก เซ็ง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบรูไนฯ คนที่ ๒ ได้ส่งข้อความสารถึงพล.อ. ธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร เนื่องในโอกาสแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสที่ได้รับพระบรมราชโองการโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ดำรงตำแหน่งรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ในการนี้ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้มีสารแสดงความขอบคุณถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบรูไนฯ ดังนี้

I sincerely appreciate Your Excellency’s warm congratulations and best wishes on my appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.

It is gratifying that Thailand and Brunei have long enjoyed very close and cordial ties. I believe that our joint efforts will further enhance such bond of friendship for the prosperity of our two countries and peoples in the years to come. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen our partnership at all levels and dimensions, including bilateral, ASEAN and international fora.
