ตามที่เกิดเหตุจับตัวประกันในบังกลาเทศ เมื่อวันที่ ๑ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๕๙ ซึ่งทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บจำนวนมาก นั้น
พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนาง Sheikh Hasina นายกรัฐมนตรีบังกลาเทศ และนาย Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบังกลาเทศ ดังนี้

I have learnt with profound sadness of the tragic siege incident at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka on 1 July 2016 which resulted in the loss of many innocent lives of several nationalities.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand,I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency, and through you, to the bereaved families of the victims for their irreparable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the families of those affected by the incident, especially the families of the fallen Bangladeshi security officers who valiantly sacrificed their lives for the safety of others.
In the wake of tragedy, Thailand stands with the international community in strongly condemning this heinous act of terrorism, and in expressing solidarity with the Governmentand the people of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

It is with deepest sorrow that I learnt of the recent siege incident at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka on 1 July 2016 which caused the death of many innocent hostages and 2 Bangladeshi officers.
During this time of sorrow, I would like to convey my condolences to Your Excellency and through you, to the people of Bangladesh, especially the bereaved families of the victims of this heinous incident. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Thailand has joined the international community to strongly condemn this senseless act and will stand side by side with Bangladesh to fight against terrorism in all forms.
